A Chunk of My Brain

A Chunk of My Brain marqueeOriginally performed as stand up comedy, A Chunk of My Brain was developed into the first one-woman play from Cheryl Hunter. The play ran to enthusiastic houses throughout the fall of 1995 at the Complex Theater in Hollywood. The play was directed by critically acclaimed director Kate McGregor-Stewart, produced by Judy Belcher, and stage managed by Brian Higgins. Lew Schneider (Everybody Loves Raymond) was creative advisor, Alison Edmond (British Vogue, Harper’s & Queen) created wardrobe, and Michaels, Wolfe and Tencer managed publicity.

A Chunk of My Brain follows a chain of events that link an unwitting group of people together. From the ER waiting room at Cedar’s Sinai, to backstage at the Miss La Jolla pageant, to the bathroom line at a hip hop concert, people find themselves in every character. Funny and poignant, A Chunk of My Brain moves the audience from laughter to tears in a matter of moments.
